Apparently everyone is out of gas cans too.

Chrysler 200. Comes standard with the irresponsible 92 month loan at 16% interest.
Also the classy plasti dipped wheel covers.
Nailed it!

Meanwhile she’s thinking, “who’s that creep taking pictures of my cleavage as I pump gas into a paint bucket?”

That may have been a record!

No idea how I knew that so easily. I guess it’s not the worst skill to have.

I think it’s brake dust

Came here to say this exactly.

The worst part is they probably don’t have covers for the buckets. For whatever reason Home Depot has a huge supply of buckets, but no covers.

Car isn’t dirty enough to warrant that color. I’m convinced it’s plasti dip.

That’s not a car that’s a woman.

How far are people planning on driving? I made it through the entore state of Utah on one tank of gas in my X1, and I was driving 80-90 mph theough mountains. And where are they going to put those buckets? The back seat?

Eh, who needs lids anyway?

They had syran wrap (see hood)

See, if I owned a gas station, I’d ban morons who do shit like that.

I’ve done many things in my short life. This is not one of them.

My Outback could (theoretically) make it across Utah, but only just and only if it’s clear the whole way. Add in heavy traffic and it would be game over for me
![]() 09/09/2017 at 23:54 |

Was this taken in Florida? Because, even here in Houston, there isn’t gas panic anymore.
![]() 09/09/2017 at 23:59 |

Yeah, traffic would fuck you up a bit. If I drove 70 instead of 90 I could theoretically go through Utah and most of Arizona.

Oh, you were talking north-south? I thought you meant east-west. In that case I can’t even make it across the state. The furthest I’ve gone on a tank was 380 miles, and that was 100% highway miles in ideal conditions and with a little mystery magic extending my range, plus I drove a good 30-40 miles after the fuel light came on. Usually I can expect the fuel light somewhere in the 300-320 mile range when I’m doing highway driving. City is... bad.

Yeah, I was thinking you maybe had some rally derived hypermiling secrets for you Subie. Coming from the Subie world, the fuel economy I get out of my X1 feels like magic. In my Jeep I’d make it halfway through Utah before running out of gas.

omg seriously?!

Given the size and prevalence of cup holders in American cars this shouldn’t be a problem.
![]() 09/10/2017 at 09:02 |

Hmm. If kept to around 60 mph, my Jeep has a 450mile max range. That’s with about 100 miles after the light comes on. That’s Utah and then a little bit of Idaho.

My Wrangler can’t get anywhere near it’s claimed highway fuel economy while driving at highway speeds through mountains. I averaged 15 mpg on a 3k+ mike roadtrip this past summer.
![]() 09/10/2017 at 09:25 |

My MJ doesn’t either, usually getting around 18mpg. But it makes up for it with a tank you can squeeze 25 gallons into.

I don’t know about Florida, but it’s illegal to dispense gas into non-approved DOT containers in several other US states, so if the minimum wage gas station attendant wanted to he could run them off, but why would he bother?
![]() 09/11/2017 at 14:55 |

Shouldn’t gas eat through cling wrap?
![]() 09/29/2017 at 17:58 |

The reason is they sell them to mix your motar for ceramic.
That’s why home improvement stores have huge supplies of buckets.

Um, where is this? Are they recovering from a natural disaster or something? WTF are they filling buckets of gasoline covered by syran wrap?

It was a couple of days before Irma.
